2011 End of Life Survey
One of the resolutions passed at the 2010 CMA General Council meeting stated:
- The Canadian Medical Association will undertake a comprehensive study to identify and document end-of-life practices in Canada.
In response, in June 2011, the CMA’s Canadian Collaborative Centre for Physician Resources (C3PR) sent 16,581 CMA members an online survey and after one email reminder we received 2,125 valid responses for a response rate of 12.8%. Figures are considered accurate within +/- 2.1% 19 times out of 20. The survey results are completely anonymous.
